Join Sheffield Libraries and Sheffield DocFest this Black History Month for a screening of Master of Light, winner of the First Feature Competition at DocFest in 2022.Painter George Anthony Morton, once jailed for drug offences, used his time in prison to refine his craft. On release, he navigates a mainly white art world while confronting his past in Kansas City.
A powerful story of systemic racism, trauma, healing, art and creativity.
