Join the newly reformed Victorian chapter of the Women's International League for Peace & Freedom for our first official event, a film premiere about Syrian artist and peace activist Hala al-Faisal.
// HALA - A WOMAN's JOURNEY //
"Hala - A Woman's Journey" is a moving film that explores resilience and creativity in tough times. Filmmaker Mohamed Sameer Tahan captures the life of Syrian artist Hala al-Faisal during her return to Homs amid the Covid-19 pandemic offering an intimate glimpse into Hala's passions and concerns.
The score for the film was composed by Mahdi AlMahdi, who is based in Damascus.
The film runs for 35 minutes.
