Pai Ricardo is caretaker of the Afro-Brazilian Cultural Resistance Association Casa de Caridade Pai Jacob do Oriente, an Afro-Indigenous-Brazilian Umbanda temple founded in 1966 by his father and mother, Joaquim Camilo and Maria das Dores Moura.
