Film: Everybody to Kenmure Street

Join us in person for a special screening. This award-winning film chronicles the spontaneous May 2021 civil resistance in Glasgow’s Pollokshields neighborhood, where hundreds of local residents rushed onto the streets on Eid morning to block a UK Home Office immigration enforcement van to nonviolently defend two valued and long-standing Sikh neighbours. It’s a remarkable and inspiring story with real resonance in Leith, too. Light refreshments available. Discussion and speaker afterwards. Fully accessible venue.
