Anemone marks the feature directorial debut of Ronan Day-Lewis, who co-wrote the screenplay with his father, Daniel Day-Lewis—making this film not only a return for the legendary actor, but a deeply personal collaboration.
Set in Northern England, the story begins when Jem Stoker (Sean Bean), a middle-aged man living in suburban comfort, journeys into the woods to reconnect with his estranged brother Ray Stoker (Daniel Day-Lewis), a reclusive hermit whose life has been shaped by decades of silence and isolation.
