About this Event
Using a blend of innovative animation, archival material, and commentary from scholars and cultural voices, this 85-minute documentary examines how racist ideas have been created, spread, and sustained in the United States. From historian and author Ibram X. Kendi, the film traces these ideas across different eras, highlighting how they have influenced policies, culture, and everyday life.
The screening invites viewers to reflect on the historical roots of racism and consider how understanding this history can inform more equitable futures. A community discussion will follow.
This evening discussion will be led by Roger Moreano, Senior Director of Institutional and Community Equity.
