It’s Bag Sale Week at The Bluestocking Bookshop.From January 5–11, 2026, grab one of our bags, fill it to the brim with used books from our sale tables, and walk out feeling like you beat the system (because honestly, you kind of did). Whether you’re rebuilding your shelves after the holidays, starting the year with ambitious reading goals, or planning your A to Z for the 26 for 2026 challenge, Bag Sale is the week to do it. Come early for the best selection, come often because the inventory changes fast, and come ready to make some hard choices about which books get the last inch of space.
Each bag is just $1, so you'll even have cash available to shop the shelves at our bigger location! With thousands of books and gifts to choose from, we'll start 2026 the way it should be: cozy, restful, and full of new-to-you stories.
The sale runs daily 10am-7pm, Monday January 5 - Sunday January 11. (Yes, the tables will all be indoors for this one...)
