Filipino American History Month

Filipino American History Month is a time to remember the people, stories, and movements that have shaped our city—and to celebrate the artists, leaders, families, and neighbors writing its next chapter.
San Francisco’s annual City Hall gathering brings the community into the civic heart of the city for recognition, culture, and connection.
“Our history is more than what came before. It is what we carry together.”
October offers a shared moment to honor Filipino American history, deepen connection across generations, and make the community’s contributions visible in the center of civic life.
