This August, the Manila art world turns its gaze toward the glistening waters of Manila Bay as Fili Artists unveils their much-awaited group exhibition, “Scenes by the Bay,” at the Diamond Hotel Manila on August 27, 2025.

“Scenes by the Bay” captures the ever-changing moods of Manila Bay—its radiant sunsets, quiet mornings, and vibrant city life—while also exploring what the bay represents for Filipinos: a space of nostalgia, resilience, and hope. The exhibit reflects how art can
transform a familiar landmark into a canvas of memory and meaning, seen through the diverse lenses of contemporary Filipino painters.
𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗰𝘁 𝗩𝗼𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀
Fili Artists, known for bringing together a wide spectrum of talents from across the country, presents works that range from sweeping impressionistic seascapes to bold modern abstractions and intricate figurative depictions of daily life along the shoreline. Each artist brings a distinct voice, yet together they form a harmonious symphony of color, form, and storytelling.
