Join Catherine Welch outside the Belle Vue to be taken on a tour of Filey’s pubs old and new. From the forgotten gem T’Owld Ship to historic Foords on Queen Street. Pubs have been at the centre of Filey life for centuries. People wouldn’t just gather to drink and natter. You could catch the stage coach to Hull, attend an inquest into a shipwreck or find a comfortable bed for the night.
Catherine is a volunteer at Filey Museum and Filey U3A. She is one of the leading historians on Filey and the surrounding area.
