The Level 1 course is an introduction to the FII education system. It covers everything from safety & problem management, breathing techniques, & equipment selection to correct freediving methods for gradual depth progression. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to master the correct basic freediving techniques of our system enabling you to confidently freedive to depths up to 66 feet/20 meters. We require taking the Level 1 Freediver course before proceeding onto the Level 2 course.This course will be taught by FII instructor Neal Tyagi who has been personally trained by 13x world record holder Martin Stepanek, 6x US national record holder Daniel Koval, and 4X US national record holder Kristin Kuba.
Due to the pandemic and state restrictions the course will begin with the classroom session online via Zoom Friday evening before the 1st day of the course from 5pm-8pm. Saturday will have a continued short classroom session via Zoom from 8am-10am.
Confined water session from 11am-2pm. Sunday, 10am-3pm. Course location TBD depending on conditions.
The price of the course is $365 which includes the Level 1 manual and certification upon completion of the course.
