Figure It Out Life Drawing - Stafford

Join us for a two-hour life drawing session led by a professional nude model, offering a unique opportunity to learn directly from the person within the pose.

For the experienced, the session will be contain various classic figure drawing poses.

And for the beginner/novice each pose will include iand insight of balance, proportion, and movement, giving beginners a solid foundation in drawing the human form.

What to Expect

Under the model’s direction, you’ll explore:

Gesture and rhythm – capturing energy and motion through quick poses.

Proportion and structure – learning the body’s key landmarks and how to measure using “head units.”

Balance and flow – understanding how the body carries and shifts weight.

Form and tone – longer studies focusing on volume, light, and depth.

Each stage builds on the last, offering a clear, accessible pathway to mastering figure drawing — ideal for those new to life drawing or returning after a break.

Warm-up & Gesture Poses (20 mins) – Energy and proportion awareness

Short & Medium Poses (35 mins) – Structure, rhythm, and balance

Break (10 mins) – Rest, questions, and discussion

Long Studies (45 mins) – Tone, light, and form

Wrap-up (10 mins) – Reflection and feedback

What to Bring

Nothing. Materials include will be easels, paper, soft pencils, pastels or charcoal, eraser, sharpener, and drawing board or clips.
