About this Event
The Martin is thrilled to offer our first ever figure drawing night with model Secret Mermaid!
Attendees are asked to bring all of their own materials for the evening. Tables and seating will be provided but otherwise any other materials should be provided by the attendees themselves.
Doors for the event open at 6pm and Secret will take her first post starting at 6:30pm. All poses will be clothed but will change throughout the night!
Class schedule will be as follows starting at 6:30pm:
- Two five-minute warm up poses
- One 15 minute pose
- Short break
- 25 minute pose
- INTERMISSION
- Two 25 minute poses
Guests are welcome to order drinks from Split-Rail next door but are asked not to eat during class. Guests are welcome to order food to go or to dine in Split-Rail before the event. Interested in dining before? We recommend making a reservation.
Entry is sliding scale suggested donation of $10-25.
ABOUT THE MODEL
Our catch of the day, Secret Mermaid (she/her), is a burlesque performer and professional model. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Vocal Performance from Loyola University Chicago and has always adored musical theater. Her favorite role was as Christine Daae in The Phantom of the Opera. She has also sung at the Vatican and with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. Secret Mermaid is a burlesque performer and choreographer and also teaches classes and workshops. You can book her for your next corporate event, cocktail bar, or pool party. A delight to multiple senses, she is a triple threat and uses her combination of vocal and body movements to dazzle audiences of all sizes. Whether she’s reimagining a classic from the Broadway stage, or carefully designing one of her unique nerdlesque routines, Secret Mermaid always makes a splash on stage. @secretmermaid13
