Anyone interested in coming to sit quietly for three hours to draw or sketch or draw what they see, stare, study, gaze or dream is welcome.Some of us had considered initiating life study / drawing sessions; we soon discovered that a good number of us were interested in doing so; we wanted to draw still life setups and figures with models. It might also be regarded as a situation in which there are instances of regular modeling or performance, where the audience/observer is drawing.
Drawing room is a 3 hour session held on the fourth Saturday of each month. Each session would include a model/performer or a still set-up for the participants to draw from. Open from 15:00 to 18:00 An informal group drawing session without tutors, organized by a group of artists to encourage frequent drawing-by-looking sessions, is what this event is about. Participants are required to contribute 35 € . Drawing room is a place where artists, novices, learners and others can engage in conversation and interaction while learning and exploring different drawing techniques. Participants are required to bring their own portable sketching setup to the session.
