Figure Drawing Cooperative Firenze

We are a small group of international artists who share a studio space behind the historic Cappelle Medici in the San Lorenzo neighborhood in bella Firenze. On Monday and Friday evenings we like to open up our studios to visiting artists, travelers interested in the classical tradition, and students who attend the other local ateliers. Anybody who is interested in improving their sense of anatomy and the figure is most welcome to join us, there is no experience necessary! The artists occupying the studios have all attended classical academies such as The Angel Academy and The Florence Academy of Art—so we would be happy to give individual critiques or anatomy demos upon request.

There will be 30 minutes of short warm up poses followed by two hours of one long pose. We start drawing at 6:00 but we encourage participants to arrive 20 minutes before to grab a glass of wine and claim an easel.
