Beginner Friendly!
Charcoal is recognized as one of the oldest, if not THE oldest, drawing tool used by humans for over 30,000 years. With evidence in cave paintings dating back to prehistoric times. We are sure you'll do better than a caveman.
All materials provided.
-A handmade medium 9x12in sketchbook not binded in case you want to sketch on large 12x18in paper,
-willow charcoal,
-kneaded or gum eraser.
Don't worry, we'll do a quick explanation why they are awesome to use.
Join us at 5pm Sunday, April 19 at Silvana for our nude figure drawing event.
Come in at 5pm to have enough time to find a seat and pick up your supplies. There is a bar that serves delicious food and drinks you can order from.
Happy hour from 6pm to 8pm.
Silvana opened in 2013 and serves delicious middle eastern cuisine. They're also a hub for local world-class musicians every night. They host community events while also running the restauran/cafe/boutique shop. They are a mix of everything that can make anyone happy.
Figure drawing starts at 5:30 pm. We'll do a few 30 sec, 1 min, 5 min, 10 min and 15 min poses with a break in between. At the end we'll share our work.
Tickets: $25
(Silvana hosts a separate music event after, from 7pm to 11pm.
The NorthEast rock band mixes glam and grunge, funk and music theatre. followed by a few jazz groups. You might need to Take Five.)
