Join us for a sweaty and fun evening of movement and sauna gus!
We’ll explore how to keep a calm mind in a stressfull environment.
When we're under stress, we need to have a calm and clear mind in order to not burn out. This skill can be practiced in various forms and in this event we will do it with physical fighting in a playfull and safe way, as well as we will take this theme into the sauna with sensorical and mental excercices.
1.
The first part of the workshop consists of situational games where we learn how to fight. These movements teach us how we should move in a physical duel as well as how we should react. We’re hereby learning how to apply our force, flexibility and coordination to outmaneuver the other.

2.
In the second part of the workshop we'll head to the sauna, where we will stimulate the different organs of the body and support our bloodstream and circulation. We will center through breathwork and meditative exercises.

What is fighting in this workshop?

This workshop gives you the possibility for - in a safe, fun and challenging way - to immerse into fighting and to develop movement abilities related to fighting situations.
It is safe, and all genders and ages can enjoy the experience.
The purpose is that you'll experience and develop the fighting aspect of yourself which is inherent in us all.
When someone is applying pressure on you in a non collaborative way it requires us different ways of moving than the ones we do when we are collaborative with others. Here we can advance ourselves by being aware of our positioning, distance, angles and vulnerable spots. Further we learn the difference between being in a fight standing, in close contact and on the ground.

The curriculum is structured and build up by the following elements:
.Three layers of fighting:
- Standing on the distance
- Close contact
- Ground fighting.
.Through the workshop we’re working on:
- Preprational excersices related to fighting
- Transitions from ground to standing
- Falling, jumping and throwing
- Sensorical excersices; visionary and tactile qualities
- Posture and balance training
- Principles of moving such as distance, angles, weight transfer, push and pull, opening and timing.
- Open sparring with attention to safe experience based learning.
Beware: Everyone is welcome, despite any prerequisites; both if you are only interested in the movement material or the subject at hand as it can be used in many different ways. All forms of people are welcome with a curious approach to the subject at hand.

Teacher: Kasper Winther. Master in educational science with special attention towards movement and experience based learning and development. I have trained martial arts for 10+ years and has since 2013 been engaged in a general movement practice where the practitioner through physical activities develops and grows a wide spectrum of human qualities. Both our inner lives, our social and societal lives require a dose of fighting from time to time. We fight to make good choices, to speak up, to reach our goals, to be recognized or simply to be able to relax.
All these real life fights are ongoing and rarely reach a closure. For that reason it is very rewarding - in a playful and safe way - to connect to the fighting aspect in a very physical way.
It often generates a feeling of redemption, empowerment, and emancipation.”
