Fight to Heal: Boxing + Breathwork for Nervous System Power and Regulation
Learn a skill. Move energy. Heal through expression.
Boxing and breathwork are two powerful tools to reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and access the part of you that embraces standing your ground and moving forward in life. A healthy nervous system kows how to rise and rest and this workshop will explore both sides of this balance.
In this over 2-hour workshop, you’ll be guided through:
- 🔹 Basic boxing technique (stance, strikes, rhythm)
- 🔹 Pad work + light contact drills
- 🔹 Breathwork journey to integrate, release, and land
This isn’t about aggression — it’s about reclaiming presence, power, and exploring healthy fight energy as a healing tool in a safe and grounded container.
Taught by breathwork facilitator and former professional boxer, Cian Dalton.
Open to all levels. No prior experience needed.

About Your Facilitator
Cian Dalton
Cian is the Co-Founder of The Stretch Space in Vancouver. He is an experienced breathwork facilitator, stretch therapist, former professional boxer and was the first certified Wim Hof instructor in BC. He has had a variety of diverse careers and once worked as an engineer in the field of wind power studying the energy in air. Since making a big life decision to leave the office he has pursued the truth about what is required to live optimally and with simplicity as a human. All three careers of breathwork, pro boxing and wind energy pointed clearly to the importance of air and breathing. Through our breath we can surrender and become calm and we can also fuel ourselves to rise up. Both are essential for healthy and balanced nervous system just as we see in the wild.

WHAT IS BREATHWORK?
Breathwork is a potent self-healing practice which circulates energy in the body, releasing emotional + physical blockages. We facillitate Conscious Connected Breathwork, which is a circular, rythmic breath. This style of breathing can stir up stuck energy, but when approached with ease and with good quality breathing mechanics, will help you let go of what is not longer serving you on a physical, emotional and spiritual level. Breathwork is detoxifying for the body and balances the nervous system. There is no need to force anything. This style of breathwork is practiced laying down on your back for about 1 hour, including some deep relaxation.

🥊 WHY BOXING?
Boxing is one of the oldest human practices — almost as ancient as breath. As long as we've had fists, we've wondered how to use them — to defend, to express, to survive.
Fighting is primal. It lives in the wild. It lives in our DNA. And the more we try to suppress or avoid it, the more it leaks out sideways — in arguments, tension, resentment, or self-doubt.
Boxing gives that energy a place to go. It gives it shape and it gives it rhythm.
When practiced with rules, respect, and mutual agreement, boxing becomes more than just a sport. It becomes a discipline of presence and expression — a way to reconnect with your body, your boundaries, and your fight energy in a safe and powerful way.
You don’t need to be aggressive and you don’t need to “know how to fight.” You just need to be willing to show up and try.
Boxing teaches rhythm, timing, and awareness. It helps discharge stress. It activates confidence. It reconnects you to a fire that may have gone quiet — but never left.
I believe that fighting isn’t bad — what’s bad is not knowing how to relate to it.This is your chance to begin that relationship — with structure, skill, and breath.
