Fight for a Workers MP in Oxford!

The Tories are on their way out, but Starmer's Labour won't fight for us - fight for a workers' candidate in Oxford!

Hosted by the Socialist Party and Socialist Students as part of the Trade Unionist and Socialist Coalition (TUSC)

The Tories have faced another defeat at this year's local elections and certain to be defeated in the general election. Millions of people will be cheering to see the back of them, but what will be their replacement? The most likely outcome will be a Starmer-led government, but his victory will not represent any enthusiasm for Labour's new pro-business, pro-austerity politics. In Starmer's own words "the slate has been wiped clean" since 2019, meaning that Corbyn and his pro-working class policies have been thoroughly defeated within the Labour Party. It is becoming increasingly clear that we need to build an anti-war, socialist alternative to the establishment parties to give a voice to working class and young people.

Come join us at Ark-T @ The Venue for an exciting event focused on advocating for and putting forward a workers' candidate in Oxford! The scale of the crisis facing the working class is greater than any one individual, group, or trade union can tackle alone - especially when the current capitalist politicians fail to represent us. The workers' movement must again become explicitly political in order to take the struggle forward.
