David Enos will present the next regular FIFTH SUNDAY AT FIVE Organ Recital at St. Augustine's House, Oxford, Michigan, on September 29, 5 pm. Enos will be joined by oboist, Lynne Mangan. The program is free and lasts about 45 minutes. It concludes with a hymn sung by all. Originally from the Syracuse, New York area, David Enos is a graduate of Westminster Choir College and the Eastman School of Music. He is Associate Organist at Kirk in the Hills, and Carillonneur at St. Hugo of the Hills (where he was for many years Music Associate), both in Bloomfield Hills. He has performed at conventions of the American Guild of Organists, the National Association of Pastoral Musicians, and the Organ Historical Society, and has been heard on the American Public Media program, Pipedreams. A full-fledged organ nut, he enjoys collecting recordings, European travel, and opera. His organ studies have been with George Decker, Donald McDonald, Joan Lippincott, and David Craighead.
Oboist Lynne Marie Mangan has crafted an eclectic career as a performer across the United States and Canada. Originally from White Lake, she has collaborated with organists in the region since the age of 13. Ms. Mangan’s chamber music concerts have been featured on NPR’s Performance Today. Her orchestral work includes appearances with ensembles such as the Detroit Symphony, Detroit Chamber Winds, Phoenix Symphony, Toledo Symphony, Flint Symphony, and Windsor Symphony. Ms. Mangan has been a member of the Tucson Symphony, Arizona Opera, and Cabrillo Festival of Contemporary Music orchestras.
