You are invited to the Fifth Central Ontario Sacred Harp Convention.
FRIDAY AUGUST 21 7:30 p.m.
Warm up with an evening of singing from Shenandoah Harmony. (Loaners available.) Singers and listeners alike are welcome.
Friends House, 60 Lowther Avenue, Toronto
***Additional Convention Schedule***
On Saturday and Sunday, singing begins at 10:00 a.m. sharp. We will sing shape note ("fasola") music from The Sacred Harp, 2025 edition. Singers and listeners alike are welcome to attend all or part of our full weekend of singing. Please arrive before then to register if you don't want to miss the first "fa" (registration opens at 9:30 a.m.). Sign up to lead or ask someone else to lead your favourite song. We have loaner songbooks available to borrow. Give what you can to help with rent and other expenses.
There will be dinner on the grounds Saturday and Sunday. Ontario singers, please bring plenty of ready-to-serve food to share! (There are no warming facilities.)

There will be TWO SATURDAY EVENING SOCIALS! One will be nearby in Toronto, and the other at the home of Gillian Inksetter, in Cambridge, Ontario.
Details will be available at the singing.
There will be food at the socials, but snacks and beverage contributions are welcome.

Detweiler Meeting House has a ramp available for the back door (4" step); the washrooms are accessible, with grips.
***Parking***
There is limited free parking at Friends House and on the surrounding streets. There are several paid parking lots close by. The St. George subway station is also just a few minutes’ walk from Friends House.
There is free parking at Detweiler Meeting House. Please limit parking to the designated area.
***Accommodations and Rides***
We are offering limited housing accommodations for out-of-town singers and arranging carpools for travel to Detweiler on Sunday. Please contact Gillian Inksetter <ginksetter> or Frank Griggs <bfgthefourth>
