We are so excited to have guest artists again come to Halifax again and thrilled to be able to offer you all this unique opportunity.
Workshops includes live music, palmas and Compas (Aurelie will be joined by Quique, and Alexandra guitarist and singer).
All three artists are fluent in English, French and Spanish.
The three day workshops will include compás and palmas with Quique, style and technique, as well as short choreographies for tangos, which can be performed easily at any event as individual snippets or as part of a larger tangos choreography.
In this workshop, beyond learning new choreography por tangos, participants will incorporate them in order to feel them as natural. In the idea of being able to relax, listen and feel the compás, we will divide our time between perfecting, and deepening the act of making compás with palmas along with Quique, our guitarist; and learning baile por tangos steps, listen to letras, interact with music. In short: we will practice “being flamenco/as”. A festive workshop that does not neglect the seriousness of learning while having fun. The workshops will include live music from Quique and Alexandra Templier.
