Fiesta DC Brazil Delegation Feijoada Fundraiser and Destaque Competition

Join us for an evening of traditional Brazilian food, music, and dance—and help support Brazil's best Fiesta DC showing yet! We're also offering a fantastic opportunity to try your samba competition skills!!

About the Event This year, Brazil is the featured country at Fiesta DC 2026, the largest celebration of Latin American culture in the United States, held September 26–27. Vavá United School of Samba, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, has proudly led DC's Brazilian delegation since 2015, and this year we're organizing Brazil's entire presence in the festival and parade.

All proceeds from the event will go directly to Vavá to make the best parade Fiesta DC has ever seen. We need your support to make it unforgettable.

Your ticket includes a full traditional feijoada meal, one caipirinha or nonalcoholic beverage included, and live music by local Brazilian musicians

There will be a cash bar for additional drinks.

Destaque Competition We're also hosting DC's first-ever Samba School Destaque contest AS PART OF THE EVENT — a traditional competition where dancers show their style, technique, and personality for the chance to dance in the place of honor in the Fiesta DC parade, plus prizes. Competitors will be performing in front of the attendees of the Feijoada, and a panel of experts will preside. Seasoned sambistas and curious newcomers alike are welcome. Fantasia and feathers encouraged, but not required. We want your skills and your energy!

Ticket Types:

Feijoada only --- Early Bird $35, After July 5th $40 - Includes admission, an all-you-can-eat traditional "feijoada" meal, which includes: rice, collard greens, orange slices, farofa (toasted casava meal) and feijoada stew (black beans, pork three ways, beef, and crackling). VEGETARIAN OPTION AVAILABLE!! Sides and small bites include coxinha (chicken croquettes), Pao de Quejo (cheese bread) and beef pasteis (dumplings). Includes ONE capirinha (must be over 21, IDs will be checked at door). Additional drinks will be available at a cash bar.

Destaque only --- Early Bird $45, After July 5th $50 - For competitors in the destaque. Includes Admission and the opportunity to compete in the destaque only, no food or drink included, though a cash bar is available.

Combo (both)---Early Bird $70, After July 5th $75
