Jeanette Trujillo Lucero-Dancer
Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero has been heralded as a classical dancer who belongs to the first rank of artists of Spanish/Flamenco and Mexican dance. Known as "La Muñeca -The Doll”, she has devoted her life to dance. Jeanette has studied with the top Maestros from Santa Fe and Spain. She is one of the most recognized dancers in Denver and is honored for her 45 years of outstanding achievement in dance performance. Today, Jeanette is honored as a “Living Legend of Dance in Colorado”. She is the founding resource and the vision for the beautiful Hispanic presentations of the Fiesta Colorado Dance Company.
As a performer, Trujillo-Lucero has performed with world renowned flamenco guitarists and dancers and is known for her classical Spanish dance with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
With a life time of dance experience in ballet, tap, and jazz, Jeanette has been the choreographer for many well known performing arts organizations. Other credits include, choreographies for the Colorado Children’s Chorale, Up with People, Broadway Musicals, Evergreen Chorale, West Side Story, Carmen, Fiestas de Santa Fe, Ferdinand the Bull, Dia de Los Muertos, Festival Italiano and the Traditional Mexican Celebrations.
Jeanette is a fine a gifted dancer and shares with her audience the excitement, richness and beauty of Classical Spanish & Flamenco Dance.
Awards: Jeanette was a recipient of the Mayor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts in 2019 & 2006. Most recently in she was honored as a Trailblazer from the Latina Foundation and as a Luminaria from the Latino Leadership Institute of Denver. She was honored as the "Outstanding Educator Award by Think 360 Arts for teaching thousands of dancers throughout Colorado”. In 2021, she received the "John Madden Lifetime Leadership Award" by Colorado Business Committee for the Arts. Jeanette is highly recognized as a link to the new generations of Hispanic dance and is acknowledged in the Pulitzer Prized Nominated book entitled, Hispanic Culture in the Southwest by Dr. Arthur L Campa. She is honored as an "Inspirational Woman of the Southwest" in the Book "Return of the Corn Mothers" by Renee Fajardo. Jeanette is honored to contribute her knowledge for the preservation of the Latino Cultures of Colorado.
Salli Gutierrez-Dancer
A Colorado -based dancer, Salli Gutierrez has dedicated her life to sharing the beauty, emotion and tradition of flamenco. Her performances radiate and authenticity, inviting audiences into the soulful world of Spanish music and dance. Traveling regularly to Spain, she continues to study with master artists and renew her creative inspiration, keeping her work deeply connected to flamenco’s roots.
Beyond the stage, Salli is the founder of Spain Conexion, travel company that curates intimate tours throughout Spain. Through these journeys, she guides others to experience the rhythm, art, and spirit of flamenco. With every step and every story, Salli Landers Gutierrez keeps the essence of flamenco alive, both at home in Colorado and across the landscapes of Spain.
Salli is known for elegant prowess laced with intricate footwork. She has been in love with Spain and flamenco dance since her first visit to Madrid. She has been performing flamenco for over 30 years. Salli is a cultural ambassador by sharing her knowledge about Flamenco, Spanish dance and culture. It is her passion to convey the beauty of flamenco dance.
Gina Martinez-Dancer
Gina was born in Mexico City. She began studying flamenco in Mexico, as a young woman, with Gabriela Salas. Later, she continued her training in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain. When she moved to Denver, Gina was given the opportunity to work and perform flamenco dance with Jeanette Trujillo-Lucero, Sally Gutierrez, and Maria Vazquez. Gina has the true passion of the flamenco spirit.
Arturo Curiel-Dancer
Arturo has been dancing for 27 years. He has studied the rich traditions of Mexican folk dance and music from Maestros in Mexico and throughout the United States. Arturo wanted to dive deeper into the art of his heritage. Today, he is the culmination of his Spanish roots and is leaning into flamenco dance. Arturo is the co-director of Ballet Folklorico Patria Mexican where is he performs as a professional dancer and also teaches the next generation of dance. The company is purely to share the rich folkloric dance culture.
Steve Mullins-Flamenco Guitarist
Steve has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in American Folk Music, a Master’s Degree in musicology, and a Doctorate i ethnomusicology from the University of Colorado where his dissertation dealt with flamenco aesthetics. He recently released his 9th CD of original compositions on Octave Records. His compositions have been heard in settings as diverse as television commercials, documentaries, national radio, silent movies, symphonic concerts, flamenco shows, and dancing horses at the National Western Stock Show. Over the years, Steve has performed with very best of flamenco dancers and guitarists.
Rudi Monterroso-Cajon & Percussionist
Rudi has been a professional fine artists for 30 years. He is the owner of Playhouse Colorado where he makes the most magical handcrafted playhouses. He was born in Guatemala and studied flamenco in Boston from Ramon Reyes. When Rudi moved to Denver, he first began as a flamenco dancer, he then decided to become a cajon flamenco percussionist.
Alex Whitsel- Violinist
Alexi brings and luminous, grounded presence to the stage, shaped by deep roots in chamber music and orchestral tradition. He earned a BA Music Degree from Indiana University. He has studied with the Dallas Symphony concertmaster Alexander Kerr and the late concertmaster Jorja Fleezanis from Minnesota. He has played in International Music Festivals in New York, Boston, Minnesota, Wyoming and Aspen. He now maintains a violin studio in Boulder, Colorado and performs with the Boulder Philharmonic & Symphony Orchestras and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. He plays on a vintage 1910 Heberlein Violin and an 1860’s Voiin Bow. Today, he accompanies flamenco music with various performing groups.
Marisol del Rocio-Singer
Marisol was born with flamenco in her blood, rooted in the spirit if Andalucia and nurtured in the mountains of Colorado. She has been wearing flamenco shoes since she could walk and after a lifetime of dancing, has devoted the past ten years to the art of flamenco singing. In addition to her work in flamenco, Marisol performs and produces electronic music under the d3wdrop, blending her powerful vocals and passion Rhythm across genres.

Hailing from Santa Fe, New Mexico, this standout band has built a reputation as one of the region’s very best, electrifying audiences everywhere from La Fonda and Tesuque Casino to the iconic stages of Legal Tender, The Dragon Train, Madrid Mine Shaft, the Rail Yard—and even the legendary Chapultepec Jazz Club here in Denver.
Westin Lee McDowell - Guitarist & Pianist - Santa Fe- The Shiners Club Jazz Band
Westin is a multi-disciplined performing artist from Denver, CO and Santa Fe New Mexico. With a BA in Music Composition from the College of Santa Fe. Dedicating most of his time to music, Westin performs with multiple bands in Santa Fe that vary from jazz to heavy rock. Studying the roots of music is his bag. He is the collector of folk music from Ireland, Spain, Mexico, and the antiquated songs of early America.
He is honored to be performing alongside side his mother, who he has watched dance, learned and embodied over the coarse of his life.
Dylan McDowell- Drummer & Percussionist - Santa Fe- The Shiners Club Jazz Band
Dylan McDowell is a drummer and percussionist from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Beginning drumming at the age of 13, Dylan’s drumming career spans decades. He was one of the last graduates from the, now famous, College of Santa Fe with a BA in Music. Dylan plays from heavy rock, post rock, jazz, Irish & Scottish Pipe Band music and more. Dylan’s musical versatility... is vast. He has performed and recorded 12 records with many original bands in Colorado, Texas and New Mexico. All of these cities were places that he called home for different periods of time. Since returning to his hometown of Santa Fe, he gives his leadership and talent to the many bands, that he plays with. Dylan is one fabulous drummer and continues to invigorate the music scene throughout the Southwest.
