Tourism, Environment, and Community Resilience in Bangladesh’s Coastal Zone: Insights from Inani, Cox’s Bazar
Dear Students,
The Department of Development Studies is organizing a Fieldwork & Excursion program for first-year students as part of the Anthropology and Sociology course. The program will take place in Inani, Cox’s Bazar from 12 to 16 October 2025.
During this fieldwork, you will engage with local communities to collect their experiences, perspectives, and responses related to tourism and environmental change. The aim is to explore the interaction between tourism development and ecological resilience in the coastal zone. Through participatory methods of data collection, you will enhance your research skills and deepen your academic understanding.
Your active participation in this program will offer valuable real-world experience and contribute meaningfully to your academic and professional growth.
