We’re planning a Field Workday at Poplar Ford on Saturday, October 11th, starting at 9:30 AM and wrapping up around noon.
The main project will be moving 22–27 wheelbarrow loads of gravel from the parking lot to the 12x12 area between the two existing sheds. This gravel pad is the foundation for our new shed, which will give us more storage and improve our facilities at the field.
To get it done smoothly, we’ll need plenty of wheelbarrows and shovels. If you don’t have a wheelbarrow, just bring a shovel—there will be plenty of work to go around!
This is a great chance to:
- Be part of building something new at the field.
- Help keep Poplar Ford in top shape for everyone’s use.
- Catch up with fellow club members and maybe do some flying afterwards if the weather cooperates.
- Every set of hands makes a difference. Even if you can only stop by for a bit, your help will be greatly appreciated!
If we don’t get all the gravel moved Saturday, October 11th I’ll schedule another workday for later in the month.
