Join your Nebraska Forest Service at the Prairie Pines Nature Preserve to explore, play, and learn. Spend two hours on a guided exploration of the different ecosystems at the preserve including forests and prairies.
We will focus the learning around our observations of the natural world and all of our field trips include a trip to the nature ninja course, a nature playscape!
Field Trips to the Forest are excellent opportunities for preK-8 classes, summer daycamp programs, homeschool groups, and more to get their learners outdoors and immersed in a real forest ecosystem.

What Real Educators Say About Field Trips to the Forest
I loved the chance to get outside with our students to explore Prairie Pines, I have always lived in Lincoln and never new it existed! It was fun to explore the woods together.
I appreciated getting away from our classroom to enjoy a trip through the woods. We loved learning about the different trees we saw along the way as well as comparing/contrasting the forest and prairie environments. My students loved the 'Nature Ninja' course at the end to help them blow off steam before we went home.
It was so cool getting to learn about the trees and animals we saw. My students even pointed trees on a neighborhood naturewalk the following week. Definintely planning on returning next year.
