Join us for our opening field trip on Sunday, September 22. Meet at 7:30am at the Marlin Bay Drive entrance a short distance south from Shore Drive at the Natural Area sign. There is usually ample parking along Marlin Bay Drive. We will spend a casual morning walking the trails and scanning the open water. There should be landbird migrants in the trees, herons wading in the water, a few ducks in the bay, and gulls and terns on the flats if the tides cooperate. Time and weather permitting, we may try another location after we finish at Pleasure House Point. Dress for the day’s weather. It is often helpful to bring boots since a short section of the trail may be covered with water.
