Trip/area Description: Osprey Acres Stormwater Park is an 84-acre ecosystem consisting of uphill pine, mesic oak hammock, a small scrub area, and artificial wetlands. Originally slated for 400 home parcels, IRC bought the property to preserve fragile wetlands and aid in further treatment of stormwater. The area provides for mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians, fish, and insects, 45 percent of which are rare or endangered. No pets allowed. No restrooms.

Walking distance (if applicable): ~ 1 mile on firm pathways

Degree of difficulty, and any special instructions: Easy and Scenic. A mix of sun and shade, and a constructed wetland with open water!

Limit to number of participants: No limit, although the parking area is limited.
