Montezuma Castle Field Trip
Join us for a fascinating journey into Arizona's history as we visit Montezuma Castle National Monument on Tuesday, April 20, 2027, at 10:00 AM. This incredible site is home to one of the best-preserved cliff dwellings in North America and offers a unique opportunity to learn about the Sinagua people who lived in the Verde Valley more than 700 years ago.
During our visit, students and families will explore the monument, learn about the history, culture, and engineering of the cliff dwellings, and discover how people adapted to life in the Arizona desert long before modern technology. This field trip provides a wonderful opportunity to connect history, geography, archaeology, and science through real-world exploration.
Admission:
Adults (16 and older): $10 per person
Children 15 and younger: Free
Admission passes may be purchased directly at the park on the morning of the trip. An added benefit is that day passes are valid for 7 days, allowing families to revisit and explore other participating sites during that time.
While payment will be made at the park, we ask that all interested families RSVP in advance so that we know who will be attending and can experience this historic monument together as a learning community.
Bring your walking shoes, curiosity, and sense of adventure as we step back in time and explore one of Arizona's most remarkable historical treasures!
