Join us for a unique double feature showcasing the traditional processes of turning wheat into flour and fibres into fabric. It’s hands-on exploration you won’t want to miss!
Field to Flour: Experience the entire process of turning wheat into flour. See demonstrations of cutting and flailing of wheat, an explanation of grinding wheat into flour in the Backhouse Mill and the making of bread, or other food productions.
Field to Fabric: Visit the Norfolk Fibre Arts Guild at the Mercantile building as they give demonstrations on spinning wool into yarn and weaving their yarn into beautiful fabric creations.
Mill tours will be held at 11am and 1pm.
