Sunday, June 16th is Father's Day, and we will be celebrating at the historic Babcock Theatre with a special screening of Phil Alden Robinson's touching fatherly drama, FIELD OF DREAMS, in celebration of the film's 35th anniversary! Kevin Costner plays Ray Kinsella, an Iowa farmer who, after hearing a mysterious voice in his head, begins to turn his corn field into a baseball diamond. However, even after completing the baseball field, the voice's directions persist, and the spirits of deceased baseball players begin to show up to play. FIELD OF DREAMS is a beautifully shot film about coming to terms with the flaws and the ghosts that exist within a family so that they may strengthen their bond, and it would be a great film to bring dad to this Father's Day!
