FIDDELIUM - LIVE IN THE CAPITAL

Nanaimo’s award-winning youth fiddle ensemble, FIDDELIUM, will be playing at the Dave Dunnet Community Theatre with Special Guests TBA.

Fiddelium features over a dozen young string players (violin, viola and cello) backed by a rhythm section of piano, guitar and drums/percussion.

FIDDELIUM (pronounced “fi-DELL-ee-um”) puts on a high-energy, professionally polished show that features traditional and contemporary folk music from around the world.

This is not your average fiddle group: Fiddelium has represented Vancouver Island on the national stage several times and was awarded the 2023 Canadian Folk Music Award in recognition of their outstanding performance skills.

This year’s concert features tunes from Scotland, Quebec, Finland, Ireland, Spain, Texas and British Columbia.

Don’t be fooled: this group of 20 youth will completely amaze you with their musicianship and stage presence. Come to a Fiddelium show and you will leave as a Fiddelium fan!
