Class meets on Tuesdays from 5:30pm - 8:00pm

During our Pajamas Workshop you will have the opportunity to enhance your sewing skills under the guidance of our sewing instructor Shannon Marshall. You are encouraged to bring your own machine in good working condition, with the power cord, foot control, accessories and instruction manual, if available. Classroom sewing machines are available for use.

In this 4-part hands-on workshop series you'll gain confidence working with a sewing pattern while completing a practical, wearable garment. We're using a classic pajama pattern, suitable for confident beginner and intermediate skill levels. You get to choose between adult's or kid's pattern to work on during class.

You'll learn the best techniques for:

• Pattern adjustments
• Layout and cutting
• Sewing seams, hems, buttonholes, and pockets
• Installing elastic and a drawstring.

Refund Policy: No refunds if you miss a class, arrive late, or have to leave early.

Class length: 4 class meetings, 2.5 hours each

Class size: 4 minimum, 6 maximum

Age range: 16 and up

Instructor: Shannon Marshall, owner of Sonoma County Sewing Company.

Shannon has been a professional seamstress since 1998, a sewing teacher since 2005, and a local business owner since 2017.

Over the years she has worked with many local designers and small businesses, sewing their prototypes, samples, and custom orders

Cancellation Policy: Attendees must register for classes or request cancellations/refunds 7 days in advance. (Some classes may require more time.) Eventbrite fees will be charged to the attendee. No walk-ins.

• Pajama Sewing Pattern Adult multi-size pattern XS - 6X
• Kids Pajama Sewing Pattern multi-size pattern 12 months - 12 years
• Purchase and print the pattern and instructions before class. You don't have to get both patterns! Choose the pattern you want to work with. You can have A0 format printed on 36" paper at Sebastopol Blue or Fiber Snob. You can print out US Letter format at home on 8.5 x 11 paper
• Fabric, 2 - 6 yards pre-washed. Please see the pattern instructions for the yardage amount needed for your size. Recommended fabrics: printed cotton quilting fabric, flannel, jersey (t-shirt fabric) for the knit pattern option
• Elastic for waistband - 1.5" width x waist measurements for adult, 1" width x kids waist measurement

• Universal type (cotton/flannel) sewing machine needles size 80/12 or 90/14
• Jersey/Ball Point type (t-shirt fabric) sewing machine needles size 80/12
• Fabric scissors
