Gather your family, friends or just come alone to unleash your inner artist alongside five talented local artists! Each workshop is packed with fun, laughter, and the chance to create your very own unique ornaments that will sparkle on your tree. Whether you want to make one ornament, one of each or anything in between, there's something for everyone!

--ORNAMENT OPTIONS AND COSTS--
❄️Custom Engraved Leather Ornament:
Have a name or message engraved on 4 different leather ornaments while your make other ornaments or shop. $10 each. Done by Devon Lewis.
❄️Marbling Ornaments:
In this hands-on workshop, you'll explore the mesmerizing world of marbling—where paint floats on the surface of a special liquid and transforms into stunning, one-of-a-kind designs. Once your pattern is ready, you'll dip your ornament in and watch the magic happen!
Choose from a variety of ornament shapes and styles—perfect for gifts, holiday décor, or just a little colorful fun. Come play with color and take home something truly one-of-a-kind! Just $4.99 per ornament. Taught by Stephanie Howerton.
❄️Copper Ornaments:
These will be made with metalsmith tools and techniques to create beautiful and unique copper ornaments that you can cherish throughout your life. All materials will be provided. Participant can choose from: stars hearts, angels, bells, trees and more. This class is family friendly for all ages. $14 for the first one and then $9 per ornament. This will be taught by 16th generation silversmith, Rene Venegas
❄️Macrame Snowflake, Christmas Tree or Reindeer
We said this last year, but this year it's really true. These are sure to be your new favorites. Easy and no experience necessary make; these simply elegant ornaments a perfect addition to your Christmas tree. All supplies are included. This drop in class is for ages 10 and up. Snowflake or Christmas tree-$5. Reindeer-$10. This workshop is only available from 12-5pm. This class will be taught by Heather Green.
❄️Christmas Ball Ornament:
These will be made from beautiful glass (or plastic) using ribbons, beads, trinkets and other fun things! $4 for plastic and $6 for glass. This workshop is only available from 12-4pm. This is taught by KC Peek.
❄️ Watercolor Wooden Disks:
Gail is super excited to offer wooden discs that you can watercolor and make uniquely yours. You can either use her designs or come up with something entirely new to watercolor. This is taught By Gail Moses with Nite 'n Gail Arts.- only $4.99
❄️ Elf Gourd Ornaments
Customers will be able to pick a small gourd, paint a cute face and then add some beads for extra cuteness. $5 each. This is taught be Jana Poulsen.

Where:
This spectacular day of ornament classes will be held at The Local Artisan Collective, located at 2371 Kiesel Ave in down town Ogden, just a little south of the Megaplex.
How To Register:
No need to register a head of time, just stop by anytime between 12noon and 7pm. You can pay as you go.
About The Artists:
❄️Devon Lewis of Shoemaker Pyroshop has been burning art since 2019.
❄️Rene Venegas of Galleon's Gold is a 16th generation silversmith. His family was one of the first to arrive from Spain to the Americas. His ancestor, Felipe Venegas, was the silversmith for the early cathedrals in the Dominican Republic and stamped the first European coins in the New World. He has been teaching jewelry and silversmithing classes at Weber State for 15 years. In addition, he has been featured in The Standard Examiner, The Signpost, KUTV Inside the Story, FOX13 Good Morning Utah, The Salt Project and KTVX Good Things Utah.
❄️Stephanie Howerton from Our Children’s Earth has always had a passion for creating things. She loves marbling, hand dyeing and creating clothes, jewelry and household items. She says “My heart delights in creating something new so I tend to explore a variety of arts. I hope that you feel that same joy while using your new purchase.” We have been featured in the Huffington Post, VEIN Magazine, Indie Ogden, Standard Examiner, Good Things Utah, Fox 13 News and a variety of blogs and more. Stephanie also teaches a wide variety of classes at The Local Artisan Collective.
❄️Heather Green graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a Special Education emphasis from Weber State University. She has published five books to date, and writes whenever she can squeeze time in between taxiing children around and carving wooden key chains for souvenir shops.
❄️ KC Peek uses found objects, hand-me-downs, and antique costume jewelry inherited from her great grandmother to make unique and whimsical dioramas.
❄️ Gail Moses of Nite-n-Gail Arts after teaching for decades in Alaska, Gail now works in Ogden. She loves working with polymer clay, watercolor, and drawing.
❄️ Jana Poulsen feels art has been an important of her life. Gourds let her combine two of her passions -- art and gardening. She grows her gourds at her home in West Haven. After harvesting ,they cure and dry through the winter. In the heat of summer, they are scrubbed clean.
