About this Event
Join us as we get ready to hunker down for the winter solstice on 23rd December. Let’s beat the darkness and head out at dusk, illuminating ourselves + our bikes to enjoy a cute cozy group ride together.
We’ll head out of Station South, along the Fallowfield Loop, around Cringle Park and back to Station South HQ for warm drinks, festive cheer + bikey goodybag lucky dip prezzies for all the kiddies.
>> Please note - all children must be accompanied by their adult + kept a close eye on at all times throughout the ride. We will be riding in the dark on the way home. Front + back lights are essential. <<

> When : 16th December
> Meet : At Station South bike parking at 3pm for a 3.15pm departure. [We aim to return to Station South at 4/4.15pm]
> Suitable for: Anyone confident riding in the dark
> Distance / Terrain : Mainly off-road / smooth
>Tricky bits : Slippy leaves on FLoop / loose gravel in Cringle Park
> Speed : Unpaced - [very chilled]
> Route : Fallowfield Loop // Errwood Rd // Cringle Park
>Distance : Around 1.5 miles in total [older kids / adults might wish to do more laps of Cringle Park]
[little ones can ride on the pavement on the Errwood Rd stretch, our Ride Leaders will guide the group safeley across Clare Rd]

>> Tickets : please book a ticket for every rider in your family [babies in trailers or seats don't need one though!]
>>Weather : We ride rain or shine, but if the weather is truly horrible [torrential rain or high winds] we would postpone until a cheerier forecast
>> Balance bikes are very welcome - but please refer to the point below
>> We will try to stay together as a group but if there are lots of little people, this might prove tricky. We will have a trained Ride Leader remaining at the back so no family will get left behind and we will all regroup in Cringle Park to sparkle cycle together there!
