Festive Craft Workshop at Raffles Place Park

Festive Craft Workshop will be happening on 13 and 14 February to wrap up the Lunar New Year season on a high! 

Held at Raffles Place Park during lunchtime this interactive free drop-in workshop encourages participants to bring their empty red packets and give them a second life by transforming them into beautiful origami creations. 

Held in collaboration with local artist collective PLAY! these workshops bring together creativity sustainability and tradition in an engaging hands-on experience. This also marks the final opportunity to soak in the festive atmosphere at Raffles Place Park making it the perfect way to round off the celebrations.

Participants can fold their own origami pieces from scratch or customise pre-folded designs using red and gold acrylic paint markers. To make each creation even more special magnetic strips will be provided so participants can display their handcrafted pieces at home or at work. 

Adding to the festive atmosphere participants can also contribute their handcrafted pieces to a “Tree of Fortune” installation where repurposed red packets will come together as a symbol of prosperity renewal and goodwill for the year ahead. Whether creating a personal keepsake or adding to the installation this workshop offers a fun and meaningful way to celebrate the season.
