Festivals of the Dead Death Cafe and Making space, Bradford

This is a series of 5 workshops (death cafes and making spaces), please try to attend all 5 to enable creation of lanterns before the festival events. Workshop dates are 16th Sept (shorter death cafe), 23rd Sept, 30th Sept; 14th October, 21st October and 4th November, 4.45-6.45pm.
Please note, you only need to sign up to one event on eventbrite, you don't need to repeat the sign up for the whole series, we will note that people signing up are coming to the series where possible (we understand too if someone needs to miss the odd one).
The University of Bradford, Cecil Green Arts and Bradford Death Cafes are coming together to create Festivals of the Dead. Inspired by what happens around the world and through time, this project is about making spaces to talk and listen to the experience of others around death and related themes and to respond creatively to those conversations. The talking and listening will take place in death cafe circles and the creative response will be in the form of making memorial willow lanterns.
There are 2 Festivals of the Dead events linked to the project in the form of lantern parades in Lister Park on 30th October and a memorial parade in Northcliffe on Novemebr 14th.
This is a free event but donations are welcome for materails used.
