About this Event

Join the Society and Recreation department of the North York Central Library in Rm. 101 for monthly screenings of fiction and non-fiction films that push the boundaries of the medium. This month we are showing Joachim Trier's Reprise (2006). Trier's Sentimental Value recently won the Grand Prix at Cannes.

Synopsis (Criterion Pictures): REPRISE is a playful film about friendship, madness and creativity, about love and sorrow, great ambitions and the often unpleasant clash between youthful presumptions and reality. With its somewhat un-Norwegian structure, REPRISE has a distinct style and narrative technique which moves the story forward in a rich and enthusiastic manner.
