Be the first to hear three new plays by globetrotting local legends Roanna Dalziel, Kim Te Pairi Garrett and Lizzie Tollemache. Gutsy writing with humour and heart makes its debut at the Isaac Theatre Royal, Christchurch!FESTIVAL FEAST PASS is available for all three readings!
In Cricket, Sex and The Universe (Roanna Dalziel), a fifty year old woman riffs on the patriarchy, climate change, sporting culture, relationships, religion, stages of life and the kitchen sink; in a series of life lessons learnt from cricket.
In Te Ngahere (Kim Te Pairi Garrett), Mariana and her brother face everything together, until forces beyond their control, test their unbreakable bond in an encounter with Patupaiarehe (fairy folk).
In The NeuroSpice Girls (Lizzie Tollemache), five women tell a funny and ferocious neurodivergent odyssey, from gut punching denial to hope…. with live music, storytelling, and an aerobicizing Greek Chorus.
