About this Event

Did you know the UK’s gardens cover a combined landmass that’s bigger than the Lake District and Peak District put together? That’s a huge area and means gardens can provide vital space for wildlife.

Learn how to make your garden better for nature in this free, family-friendly gardening workshop. This interactive workshop will get the whole family thinking about how to make your garden nature-friendly through interactive games, quizzes, demonstrations and hands-on activities. You will also get to take away your own planted seed to nurture at home.

This is a hands-on workshop so be prepared to get mucky and bring a spare change of clothes if necessary. Blaise Plant Nursery is a working nursery, so please wear waterproof and closed-toe footwear.

One ticket to be ordered per participant, not per family.

Workshop suitable for children aged 3 and up.

All children below the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

The workshop will be held in the therapeutic glasshouse, please arrive 10 minutes early so that the workshop can start on time.
