PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED.
Come out and celebrate the Winter Solstice as we observe the traditional “Festival of Lights” at gorgeous Mount Greylock. Join in the fun with a brief ceremony and festive activities, followed by a refreshing 30-minute walk at sunset (4:23pm) to commemorate the seasonal transition from darkness to light. The walk will follow a segment of paved road and a forested trail. Be aware that walking surfaces may be snow-covered, icy or muddy.
Luminaria bags and hot cocoa will be provided.
Dress for winter weather with warm layers and wear sturdy, water-proof boots. Traction devices are recommended.
Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at the Visitor Center.
Reasonable accommodations available upon request.
