Experience the magic of the holiday season at Orange County's spectacular favorite Nutcracker production. Festival Ballet Theatre's enchanted production transports the audience on a whimsical journey through young Clara's fantastic dream. The heroic Nutcracker leads his Toy Soldiers into a fierce battle with the Mouse King and his troop of mice and wins the battle. He then leads Clara into a magical journey to the glittering Land of Snow and into the Kingdom of Sweets where Clara meets the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier. All before awaking in her own living room to learn who her dream Nutcracker truly is.
Lavish sets and costumes, life-size dancing dolls, falling snow, waltzing flowers, exquisite artistry from a cast of over a hundred of FBT's emerging artists and talented students of Southland Ballet Academy, along with a special appearance by world-class artists in each production performing Sugar Plum Fairy & Cavalier give the audience a special and memorable experience. Be swept away by Tchaikovsky's iconic score and captivating choreography by FBT's Artistic Director, Salwa Rizkalla, in the intimate Irvine Barclay Theatre. Enjoy the beautifully decorated lobby and a unique Nutcracker boutique to complete the time-treasured holiday experience.

Tea Party is held at the Barclay’s Jade Room and begins one hour prior to a performance.
Guests will enjoy catered gourmet finger sandwiches, petit fours and scones with tea and lemonade in the elegantly holiday-decorated Jade Room at Irvine Barclay Theatre. A glass of champagne adds to the festive experience for the adults. Characters from The Nutcracker ballet, including Clara, will join the party as the story of The Nutcracker ballet and the magical adventure is told.
Photo opportunities and a party favor for each guest included.
Note that Tea Party guests must be ticketholders for the performance following their specified tea time. While tickets remain, the option to add theTea Party will appear after you have added seats to your cart for The Nutcracker!
