**Please read all details**WHAT: self supported sunset/full moon levee ride
WHERE: We will take off from Tractor Supply and take Flying Cow Rd. to the levee. This first stretch is about 5 miles long. Then we will enter the levee and head towards Lee Rd. for another 10 miles. We will stop here for photos and a break, and then head back.
TIME: Meet at 6:45pm pedals up at 7:00 PM. Because of time change we have to start later so we can get some of the moonlight while out there, but that means we will be able to see the sunset on the levee as well.
WHAT TO BRING: lights for the first and last 5 miles only if doing the full 30 miles. There will be no lights used on the levee.
You need a working bike, helmet, the hydration and nutrition you may need, tools and means for you to fix minor mechanical problems
LENGTH IF RIDE: 30 miles round trip and approximately 2.5 hours at a 12-13mph average speed.
Alternatively, you can do 15 miles if someone can drop you off at the starting point and you park your car or get picked up at the midpoint.
BREAKS/REST: there will be 3 breaks.
Short 5-10 min. break at 5 miles
Approx. 15 min break at 15 miles (midpoint),
Short 5 min break at 25 miles
