Salt jars are a traditional Feng Shui practice that has been used for thousands of years to clear stagnant energy from the home. Traditionally, a salt jar is made at the start of the new year and replaced annually, marking the release of the old and the resetting of the space for the year ahead.
This make and take class focuses on creating a salt jar in that same spirit. Salt is used for its natural ability to absorb what no longer needs to linger, while metal coins and red ribbon are added to activate protection, clarity, and supportive energy. Once placed, the jar works quietly in the background without effort or upkeep.
During the class, you’ll create your own salt jar and learn where to place it in your home or workspace based on what you want to support, such as clearing, protection, or inviting help and ease back into a space. We’ll also cover how long to keep a jar, what to watch for as it does its work, and when it’s time to release and replace it.
This is a practical, hands-on class rooted in tradition. No prior Feng Shui experience is needed.
