Fences and Bridges (F.a.B.) Club is a group for children ages 7-15 who have been impacted by substance use disorder.The goal of this Club is to create a safe place for children facing daily challenges resulting from the loss of a loved one or a loved ones’ struggle with addiction. The Club will provide an opportunity to meet other children who share similar experiences. We will focus on activities that will build trust, self-esteem and confidence, encourage positive decision making and explore emotions and feelings.
Fences and Bridges is held the second Monday of each month* at Church of the Open Door – East York Campus, 4075 E Market St, East York, PA 17402.
PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED!
To register for this group, please email [email protected], or you may call one of the contact persons listed below.
Please provide names and ages of the children for whom you are registering. Once registration is confirmed, it will be expected the child will attend monthly unless there is a sickness or emergency.
Food will be provided at 6 pm in the Common area of COD. Children and staff will relocate to the Children’s center at 6:30 and will remain there until 7:45 when FaB staff will bring them back to the Common Area for pickup. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay and relax in the Common area until their children return.
