About this Event
During the Generation Equality Forum in 2021, feminist movements and grassroots leaders came together to create a feminist vision towards a gender just world. The concrete demands include core, direct, and flexible funding for feminist-led organizations and data access as central to building gender justice.
How do we actualize this vision? How can we ensure commitment makers deliver on these transformative promises? As we move from commitment-making to delivering results in the GEF process, hear from feminist movements and grassroots organizations about what comes next. This in-person event marks the launch of the “Feminist Accountability Framework: A Co-designed Mechanism for Resourcing, Realizing and Reimagining the Generation Equality Forum and Beyond”, facilitated by 22 co-design partners from the Global South and Global Fund for Women.
At this event, the co-authors of the Framework will share for the first time their journey, insights, work, and outcomes of a Feminist Accountability Framework, including mechanisms for concrete actions for moving from promise to practice and how they have navigated these topics to adapt a grounded framework for GEF to ensure that gender justice is for everybody.
A Feminist Accountability Process for the Generation Equality Forum is a multi-stakeholder initiative funded by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Open Society Foundation, Ford Foundation, and Children's Investment Fund Foundation.
