Feminism and Folklore in Malta 2022
Schedule
Sat Mar 05 2022 at 10:00 am to 04:00 pm
Location
Valletta Design Cluster | Valletta, MA
About this Event
Celebrate International Women's Day by collaborating with Wikimedia Community Malta in closing the gender gap on Wikipedia articles in our annual Art+Feminism activity, which this year has been integrated into Feminism and Folklore to broaden community support.
As the largest non-commercial general reference work on the internet, Wikipedia is hugely popular. However only 19% of biographies on Wikipedia are about women. Let us work together to improve coverage about women.
This is the 5th year that WCM is hosting an Art+Feminism Wikipedia Edit-a-thon in Malta. No experience is required.
NOTE: you only need to do two things to participate fully:
- CREATE A WIKIPEDIA USER ACCOUNT (if you don't already have one) >> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:CreateAccount
- Bring a laptop or wifi-enabled tablet device with you, if you have one.
