A presentation of the longstanding network and online database, female:pressure. Founded in 1998, it comprises almost 3200 artists from 90 countries - including a dedicated Portuguese branch. Electric Indigo will discuss the network’s history, long-term objectives, and one of its most internationally recognized and impactful projects:
the FACTS study, which analyzes gender representation in electronic music festival line-ups.
Additionally, she will give a sneak peek of the upcoming, completely revamped female:pressure website.
Sara Wual and Ana Rita (Mayan), who brought female:pressure Portugal to life three years ago, will talk about current projects in town, and why such a network is necessary and helpful from an “act local, think global” perspective.
