What is Female Founders Business Brunchin’?

On the morning of Friday, 28 June, Thrive and Barclays Eagle Labs (Brighton) will host a stimulating morning of talks, networking opportunities and a healthy brunch.

What’s the theme of the brunch?

Every brunch has a dedicated theme, and the theme for our upcoming brunch is ‘The Art of Business’.

In between the two talks, you will have the chance to network with other female founders, creatives and changemakers over a healthy brunch!

Who is speaking at the brunch?

Our first confirmed speaker is Jo Myles - the Co-Founder and Creative Director of The Sussex Contemporary. The Sussex Contemporary is now in its third year after the phenomenal successes in 2022 and 2023 at the i360 Brighton which saw nearly 15,000 visitors to their free art exhibition.

As well as being Creative `Director of The Sussex Contemporary, Jo is an international emerging artist working from Sussex, UK. Her work can be found in galleries across the UK & USA as well as in key publications. Working from her garden studio as well as BIP, an artist-led print studio in Brighton, and The Ugly Barn, a community pottery studio in Ditchling. Jo has a rich background in the creative industries having worked for the likes of Alexander McQueen, Duffer of St George, and Laura Ashley.

Jo actively works with hundreds of Sussex-based artists. She has hosted major artist open calls and is a member of Hassocks Artists and Steyning Arts.

How much are tickets?

Everyone is welcome to attend - however you identify. Tickets for this event are £20.

20% of our total ticket sales income will be donated to Network of International Women for Brighton & Hove(NIWBH) - an independent charity which provides a safe space for women of diverse cultures and backgrounds to meet, share experience and knowledge, and support each other.
